The 2009 Summer Staff Applications and Reference forms

If you are a young person at least 19 year of age and you are interested in working here at HGBBC in the summer you are in the right place. We would love to hear from you... and as always, if I can be of any help please feel free to contact me.

Please read this staff application letter... it may help answer some question you may have about serving here at HGBBC!

Staff Application Letter   

If you desire to be a part of our staff please fill out a staff application form and mail it to us. You will also need to print off three reference forms and have three people (please do not use friends your age) fill out these forms. One should be the pastor of your local church if at all possible.

Our Mission

Our mission is to assist churches in presenting Christ to the unsaved and facilitating spiritual growth in believers using the unique opportunities afforded through camping.

Camp Profile

Higher Ground Baptist Bible Camp began as a ministry of the Alaska Baptist Association in the mid 1960's east of Homer Alaska. In the mid 1970's the camp was moved to the 155 acre property in Sterling. For almost four decades, Higher Ground has provided, through dedicated and trained staff, a balanced camping and retreat program to meet the spiritual and physical needs of men, women, boys and girls from around the state. The Alaska Baptist Association is incorporated as a non-profit organization comprised of Independent Fundamental Baptist Churches located in Alaska.
